My Summer of 2025 Closing Credits
Nothing beats an afternoon with a cup of coffee, my journal, and a few books in the garden.
As the sun dips lower and the air takes on a crisp, golden hue, it's time to roll the closing credits on another magical season. This summer has been a fairytale in its own right, filled with passion projects, beautiful blooms, and the kind of moments that make life feel like a living storybook.
These are my Closing Credits of the Summer of 2025
Director: Me, Cassandra Silva.
This is the summer I began to write my story where I finally become my own heroine.
Producers:
The Garden: From boring back yard to a spacious patio with a garden full of blooms, I’ve learned how to grow function and beauty.
Home Decor: I’ve realized what is trending is not for me, and I truly prefer vintage. I’m willing to wait and find what fits our home, even if it takes years.
Style: I can confirm I’m no longer a jeans and t-shirt gal. It’s hard to wear layers in the summer, especially with how hot it gets. I cleared out 3 bags of clothing from my closet that no longer resonated with me. I’ll only let in that which brings me joy. Finding fine fabrics that let my skin breath in is hard, especially when they come with a high price point. This is my slowest work in progress.
Cast & Crew:
The Muses: Romantic English Gardens, Modern Medieval homes, and Florence Welch & Suki Waterhouse. This summer was all about honing in on elements that inspire me every day and bringing them to my everyday life. Every day and night I step back and say “wow, I was able to bring what I envisioned to reality” and that’s an incredible feeling.
The Support System: My family, friends, and my husband, Max and our dogs, Aokū & Louie.
Soundtrack:
Enya, Sleep Token, Busy Blooming Podcast, Mel Robbins, @florencegiven have all been on repeat.
Locations:
The driver’s seat of my car, Pinterest mood boards, and my garden’s cozy reading space.
Special Thanks:
To you, my community of readers and followers. I love hearing your ideas and seeing your projects!
Looking Ahead to Autumn:
With autumn’s chill air, comes a breath life into this space, awakening what has been sleeping all summer long. The next act is going to be good…
